The core server will over time begin to fill up its IIS logs which can cause issues later on.
Here is a script that finds log files located at: C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1 and automatically deletes them if they are older than 14 days.
forfiles /p "C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1" /s /m *.* /c "cmd /c Del @path" /d -14
Just place this line in a .bat file located at: C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\ then configure a schedule task to run daily (I run mine at night) to kick off the script.
